About Us
We live in Managua, Nicaragua teaching at Nicaragua Christian Academy and working in youth ministry. We got married on December 20, 2008 in Westfield, Indiana.
Luke’s Background:
Luke is second of eight children and was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He first traveled overseas at age eleven when he went with his dad on a missions trip to Nicaragua. In Middle School Luke and his family lived in San Jose, Costa Rica for one year. He enjoyed playing football at Sheridan High School, where he graduated in 1999. He then went to Purdue University and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology.
Ellen’s Background:
Ellen is the oldest of three and was born in Dallas, Texas. At age four she moved with her family to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She grew up there and graduated from Santa Cruz Christian Learning Center, a Missionary kid school. Then she went to Moody Bible Institute and graduated with a B.S. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
